Residential & Home Based Services
Residential Services Fayette Resources, Inc. provides residential services for individuals who are developmentally disabled. These services are often provided in Community Living Arrangements (CLAS), which are fully staffed homes in the community where individuals with compatible personalities, interests, and capabilities live. The primary goal of this program is to assist individuals in living successfully and independently in the community, to maximize their skills, and to increase their ability to cope with life situations. Routine patterns of everyday life are established to reflect those of other community members. This includes organized time for work, leisure activities, chores, and even vacations. Teaching is an integral part of our residential services. Over time, new skills are gradually added through the use of an Individualized Program Plan (IPP), which is a consistent and highly personalized hands on strategy of staff interactions and instruction. Areas of concentration may include self care, independence, social and personal development, intellectual and communication skills, money management, leisure and recreational, as well as community awareness and mobility. Prospective individuals for residential placement are referred to Fayette Resources through Base Service Units. Once the most appropriate home is determined for an individual, a carefully planned series of transition activities between staff and the individual are planned prior to admission into our program. Home Based Services Fayette Resources offers assisting services to individuals who live with their family members. An agency staff person is specially trained to address the specific needs of each individual in his or her own home. Fayette Resources also provides professional support services to the family to help them cope with the unique challenges of their loved one. Home Based Services can be used as requested by the family, and may include respite, transportation, sitter services and/or personal care needs of the individual. |
